Wearing Neon Is Easier Than You Realize
A wardrobe built on core staples (well-fitting jeans, classic blazers, and basic t-shirts), will allow for a lot of versatility each season. I believe that accessories are the way to go if you want to bring your outfit to life and drastically change the vibe of what you’re wearing.
For example, the addition of this neon yellow Balenciaga Ville Top Handle XXS small tote to my black and white outfit just makes it come to life. Not to say there’s anything wrong with black and white, but sometimes I just want a pop of colour.
Since I bought this bag at the end of summer, I had to be thoughtful about how it would fit into my fall wardrobe. I can see it going well with a leather moto jacket, a black wool coat, black trousers, and black ankle boots.
It’s all a matter of incorporating neon into my closet in small doses via a handbag or a pair of shoes.
When you’re wondering if you can rock neon yourself, go small and see if it’s right for you. Of course, you don’t have to invest in Balenciaga to try this trend for yourself - which is why I added a section below on how you can shop my look for less.
