Pre-Fall Vibes
I know, it might seem too early to start thinking about fall considering how hot itβs been. Even still, we only have a month and a half of summer left, and Iβm already dreaming of sweater + leather weather.
I think fashion people love fall because it calls for layers, therefore more interesting outfits. We can accessorize with scarves, oversized sweaters, and play with textures.
This fall season Iβll probably go back to my usual all black, but Iβll be layering in plenty pops of colour - green, hot pink, yellow, blue - you name it and Iβll wear it.
An item I'm excited to start wearing is this green silk scarf from Balenciaga with the chain pattern on it. It happens to be from the SS19 collection, but Iβve linked a few alternatives for you down below.
Itβll be a good one for layering with blazers and leather moto jackets once the weather starts to cool down. Now honestly, who else is looking forward to the end of summer?

Transform Your Home With This One Thing
Scent is powerful and has a way of elevating mood and experience. It can just as easily ruin it too, via a stinky gym bag or the smell of unfavourable cooking.
My appreciation for home fragrances truly started when I started working from home as I wanted something to keep my senses active and inspired. For example, Iβll diffuse an orange essential oil when Iβm trying to focus on a project or when I want to lift my mood, as itβs known for helping with depression and anxiety.
On my self-care days when Iβm masking and washing my hair, Iβll light a rose-scented candle to create a softer, more relaxing mood.
For summer I like more tropical scents that remind me of being on holiday. However, I donβt like anything that smells artificial or too sweet as it always results in a stomach ache for me. (Does anyone else get this?)
For summer Iβm enjoying the Coconut & Palm scent from NEST. Itβs fresh, fruity & citrusy with notes of βcrushed coconut, sparkling bergamot, and vanilla muskβ, according to the brandβs description. The scent comes in a limited edition candle and reed diffuser and comes a pretty a green patterned container thatβs perfect for displaying on your coffee table or powder room.
And in case this one sounds too summery for you, check out NESTβs Grapefruit candle, a personal fave, or the Apricot Tea one, a close second. Both convey a sparkling, uplifting scent thatβs awesome all year round.
Remember, the next time you want to transform the mood of your home, light a candle or use a diffuser.

8 Ways To Wear A Suit Right Now

Julie Pelipas gives us an updated version of the traditional suit by going for shorts. She accessories her look with sleek yellow strappy sandals and a silver clutch.

An oversized suit looks effortless with a pair of white Vans and brown tote.

Luka Sabbat is probably one of my favourite people for fashion inspiration. Here he wears a plaid grey suit for a feature in GQ with a colour blocked cardigan underneath. His personality comes through with all stacks of badass silver jewelry.

The easiest way to make a suit look effortless is with a pair of sneakers. I paired this grey plaid suit with red Adidas x Alexander Wang sneakers. I also ditched the handbag and just used my LV agenda and clutch instead.

Even after all of these years Mary-Kate Olsen continues to dominate the fashion world without even trying. I love how she layered a bunch of necklaces to go with her oversized navy suit.

I couldnβt help but feature Julie Pelipas again as she looks so chic in all white.

I wore this pink gingham Zara suit (from their spring 2019 collection) for my best friends baby shower. I wanted to dress up and still wear pants so I opted for a suit. A pink satin blouse and hot pink metallic Gucci loafers makes the outfit more fun and contemporary and less stuffy.

Love these distressed Adidas sneakers with a simple brown suit.

How To Wear Green Right Now
Admittedly Iβve never been a fan of the colour green until recently. Something clicked in my brain one day and so the obsession began.
In addition to picking up a green Loewe puzzle bag, I also treated myself to an impractical pair of satin florescent green Balenciaga flats. (Impractical in the sense theyβre hard to walk in for one. Theyβre also satin which means every stain would show so god forbid I spill anything.)
Nevertheless, the addition of green shoes feels refreshing, especially when worn with all black. Thereβs something edgy about the contrast that speaks to me.
For a more subtle look, wear a neutral coloured outfit with a green accent. On the opposite side of the spectrum, wear head to toe green for a bold monochromatic look. And finally, wear a swipe of green shadow on the eyes while leaving the rest of the makeup neutral for a cool and unexpected twist.

Why I'm Loving THIS Cult Favourite Bag After All This Time
When Balenciaga's creative director, Demna Gvasalia, launched his first bag for the brand back in 2016 it sent a craze through the fashion world.
Whether you love or hate it, I for one thought the Bazar tote was cute but far too large and bulky for everyday use. That is until I saw the black and grey colour motif on sale for over 50% off recently and I immediately thought, βYup, Iβm gonna do it.β You all know I love a good sale.
Now that I've used the bag a few times I still believe itβs too big for everyday use. (I have the medium size btw.) However, I know itβll make for an excellent travel bag as the 15β x 14.5β size comfortably fits my MacBook Pro, notebook, tech stuff, small vlogging camera, makeup bag, and even a change of clothes if needed.
I'd been looking for a good tote bag with a zippered top for a while now so I'm happy to have come across the Bazar tote on sale. Plus, Balenciaga seems to be one of the only designers that truly speaks to me these days.
SHOP THE BALENCIAGA BAZAR TOTE
When Hedi Slimane left Saint Laurent so many years ago it left a massive hole in my heart. (Donβt even get me started on Hedi at Celine because I am not a Celine girl. Can someone just give the man his own label already?)
And then it happened again when Riccardo Tisci left Givenchy. Sure, his current work at Burberry is brilliant and everything the brand needed to bring it to the now, but itβs Demna Gvasalia's edgy, wearable designs at Balenciaga that resonate with my personal style.
I digress.
I finally understand the craze behind this bag. It's practical and chic all while making a fashion statement and I can't be mad at that. Now I just need somewhere to travel to.

Summer Style: White Linen Suit
With the temperature feeling like 40 degrees Celcius this past week, itβs been hard to get dressed and leave the comforts of my air-conditioned home. Iβve survived the heatwave by wearing oversized t-shirts, sweatpants, loose legged trousers, but not shorts. Donβt ask because I donβt understand it myself. To each their own.
Another staple Iβm loving right now is the breezy linen suit. I wore this one with a simple white ribbed tank, Alexander Wang flat sandals (circa 2014, similar here), a brown leather Hermes bracelet, and my green mini Loewe bag from the spring 2019 collection (sold out, similar for fall 2019 here). The linen is light and breathable and the addition of colour through the accessories brings the outfit to life. Easy Peasy.

How To Wear Straight Cut Jeans
As a previous denim-addict, I can say that Iβve tried it all, skinny, mom, boyfriend, girlfriend, bootcut, super flares. Name it and Iβve probably worn it.
With that being said the straight cut jeans have been on my mind recently. They make a simple tank and strappy sandals look chic and effortless. Top off the look with a blazer if youβre headed to the office or have a date later that night.
