Essential Summer Shoe Guide
Even before the warm weather is among us Iβm dreaming of open toe shoes all winter long. No kidding! Some of my favorite sandals where bought in the dead of winter and I had to wait months before I could wear them!
Here is my guide to every girlβs essential summer shoes. My points are illustrated using my own personal collection. What are your summer footwear must haves?
The Flat Ankle Strap
Versatile, comfortable and slimming on the leg as it highlights the ankle with a feminine touch. The brown sandal here is classic and can be dressed up or dressed down well. The deep lapis coloured sandal is more athletic inspired with the deep-ridged sole and croc embossed leather making it more limited to casual wear.

The Banded Slide
Iβve loved slides for as long as I can remember. Here I have 2 types β the more feminine 2 banded slide and the Birkenstock (aka. βugly sandalβ) that sparked so much convo on Instagram. This one is comfortable (though my first couple of wears were anything but, they are now) and have been around forever and will probably come in and out of fashion more times than weβll ever understand. Comfort is ruling the fashion world after all. I went for the black patent leather for a more βpolishedβ look and the white for a stark contrast.

The Ankle Strap Heel
To all of the girls out there who are reading this: Please do yourselves a favour and only wear heels as high as you can walk in! My limit is 3.5β inches. Anything higher and I walk funny, my feet hurt and then I never end up wearing the shoe again. Bad investment. These black multi strapped sandals are 2.5β and are absolute genius. They add visual interest to a complete outfit and make even the most basic pieces fashion forward. Even this blue 3.5β heel does the same. Remember a well-made heel is timeless, elegant and can be dressed up or down. Youβll also feel like a rock star!

TIP | Keep those feet moisturized and your pedicures nice and clean if youβre going to be wearing sandals this summer! You canβt fool anyone with flaky feet!

The White Tshirt | Day 4 with Zara
I threw this Zara graphic tank underneath my white crop top for the 4th day of the style challenge. I like subtleness of the graphic pop on top and how well it works with the distressed patchwork denim.

Styling | The White Tshirt | Day 3 with Mackage
Summer has finally arrived! Day 3 of the white shirt consists of an athletica inspired tank by Cut 25 layered underneath (since Iβm not a fan of showing navel) and black leather shorts from Mackage. Summer & weekend approved!

Styling | The White Tshirt | Day 1 with Stella
In my opinion tshirts are the most versatile piece in a girls wardrobe. To back this up Iβm giving myself a style challenge for the next 5 days wearing the same cropped white tshirt from Aritzia. Iβm not going to preplan outfits but instead get dressed in the morning as I would everyday, according to mood, except Iβll be wearing the same shirt. (Yes, there will be washings in between!)
Day 1 | Iβm wearing the white tee with this beautiful Stella McCartney pant in a dusty rose colour. The high waistline and wide leg is an elegant yet simple way to balance off the shirt. I could have gone with a nude or a black shoe but instead I opted for a bit of colour with this royal blue sandal. The look is work appropriate and still relaxed if I was to switch to a flat sandal.

Outfit | Subtle Pops
I love taking pictures in unexpected areas. It reminds me that weβre surrounded by beauty everywhere if we just take a second to appreciate it. Take this loading dock for example; the royal blue doors and skids are a striking contrast against the white of the building. And just as in the outfit, my ivory Acne skirt subtly pops next to the bright whites and blacks of the whole look.
