I BOUGHT MY FIRST CHANEL BAG!
PHOTOGRAPHY BY: MICHAEL BIRO, globalgarcon.net
If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen pictures of me rocking this amazing patent leather Chanel jumbo. I borrowed it from Love That Bag, a Montreal based luxury consignment store for a photoshoot. When it came time to return it I started to get some severe fashion fomo (definition here). So what did I do? Called up the ladies at LTB and told them to send me an invoice!
When it comes to buying luxury consignment it’s important to find a place that has a strict authenticity process because there are so many sophisticated fakes out there that fly under the radar. My advice is to take your time and do your homework. I once bought a used Celine bag that was more beautiful on the website than in person and when I tried to contact the store for a refund, they wouldn’t respond. I came to resent the bag and ended up selling it for a cheaper price to reflect the condition of the purse.
If you want to learn more about buying pre-loved bags you can read more here and here.

EXPERT SKINCARE ADVICE WITH FIRST AID BEAUTY FOUNDER LILLI GORDON
I was already a fan of her skincare I met Lilli Gordon, founder of First Aid Beauty, to co-host a meet and greet at Sephora last Thursday. I started using FAB earlier this year - the Face Cleanser and Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer are some of my faves and I keep travel sized tubes in my vanity to take on trips. FAB is the kind of skincare that I can rely on; they're beauty staples without too many bells and whistles and they get the job done. Lilli later tells me that she started FAB because she saw a void in the market between prestige skin care and drug basics. Aha! It all makes sense! The brand has been around for seven years now and their Face Cleanser is the second best selling at Sephora next to Fresh, who's founders happen to be close friends of Lilli's. Pretty impressive right?
When I ask Lilli her number one skincare tip she tells that that she doesn't have one, but three;
- Always use sunscreen.
- Exfoliate.
- Hydrate, even if you're oily.
It's the kind of skincare advice you'd from an expert and it's the kind of advice that works.
Maybe it's because I went to school for graphic design but I felt compelled to asked Lilli about the FAB logo, which is simple and eye catching. She tells me the red border represents a life preserve that saves our skin. The rays are uplifting and the star, because it makes us happy.
Fun fact: Lilli loves stars as much as I do! It was a coincidence that I wore my star printed Equipment blouse to the meet and greet because we quickly bonded over it. Dare I say that I may have inspired her to get the same Valentino Tango shoes I just got? Lilli, tell us if you got them!
Finally, If you haven't tried First Aid Beauty yet, here's what you need to know.
- The Ultra Repair Cream is an excellent barrier and canvas for makeup and hydration increases up to 169% upon applying it to the skin. It can be used on the face or body and is suitable for sensitive skin and eczema.
- The Facial Radiance Intensive Peel brightens up dull skin instantly. It contains BHA and AHA to exfoliate and active charcoal to achieve pH balance. If that's not enough, it has a 4.7 (out of 5) rating on Sephora.com.
- Use the 5 in 1 Bouncy Mask following the Intensive Peel for a cooling effect and to nourishing the skin. Why is it called 5 in 1? Because it nourishes, calms, firms, plumps, and refines.
- The Hydrating Serum is ideal for optimal hydration, with 178% immediate improvement in skin hydration.

WINTER IS COMING. IS YOUR CLOSET READY?
Don't freak out! Winter is coming and it will be here before you know it. Instead of leaving your winter shopping to the first snow fall, I'm telling you to start shopping now. Here's why.
- Best selection / first dibs. The good stuff is gone by the time winter arrives. I worked retail once upon a time and each season it was the same, the good stuff goes fast.
- So that you're prepared. You know how it goes, winter arrives without warning so be prepared, look chic and be warm.
- So you don't have to worry about it. It's one less thing to do because now you have a fab new coat and new snow boots to get you through the winter.
- Sales!!! If you start shopping for winter gear early, chances are you can score a good sale. Here's where it gets tricky, most places won't discount new items when they hit the stores, but shops will have promotions so you can save on your overall purchase, ie; 10% off your purchase of $250. If you're not in a rush to buy your new winter boots, you can save a pretty penny until that promotion hits. Subscribe to the email list of your favourite store to be notified.

MAN REPELLER OR CHIC? YOU DECIDE.
Every year I'm on the hunt for the perfect faux fur jacket - something a little chic with and something a little edgy. Is that too much to ask for?
I've often thought about black because hey, I wear loads of it but the thing is, a black faux fur on a petite brunette like myself looks overwhelming. Second choice- creamy ivory like the one I'm wearing here from Majorelle. It's chic enough to wear with a LBD and it also goes with the endless pairs of ripped black jeans that are hanging in my closet.
As much as I love my cozy faux furs, it's a total man repeller and my husband gave me a look that said "are you serious?" when he first saw it. Mind you if I truly cared about what he though of my sartorial choices, I wouldn't be true to myself and luckily he does support me through glitter boots, stripped Beetlejuice jeans and furry jackets.
This fall I'm happily cozing up to my fauxs and he's happy that I'm happy. #MatchMadeInHeaven

6 AWESOME NEW PRODUCTS JUST HIT THE DRUGSTORE!
I'm always on the look out to see what the latest hot new thing is at the drugstore and constantly I'm testing things out so you don't have to. Below you'll find my favourite new releases why I'm digging them this month.
COVER GIRL OH SUGAR! TINED LIP BALMS
These are perfect year but especially as we move into winter because they're vitamin infused and offer your lips protection. Oh Sugar! balms are citrus scented and lightly tined so you can wear them alone or layered on top of lipstick.
HERBAL ESSENCES NAKED DRY SHAMPOO
This is an excellent dry shampoo to keep your hair fresh in between washings. It's effective at soaking up oil and it smells light and refreshing. Brunettes, make sure you take the time to brush it out so that you're not left with a white cast in your hair.
COVER GIRL TRUBLEND BLUSH & BRONZER
Bronzer isn't just for summer and in fact, it's the secret to making pale fall/winter skin come to life. Dust a bit along your cheekbones, forehead and chin and be sure to finish off the look by dusting a rosy pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. These baked formulas by Cover Girl have just a hint of shimmer which leave skin looking pretty and fresh.
COVER GIRL TRUBLEND FACE PRIMER FOR COMBO SKIN
If I have an event, important meeting or a photoshoot, I always use a primer because it's the only way my makeup will last. Cover Girl has just released one for combo skin which is ideal for my skin type.
COVER GIRL TRUNAKED EYESHAWDOW PALETTE IN ROSES
This eyeshadow palette is ideal for every skin colour and every occasion. With shades like almond (light pink-ivory) to mousse (shimmery medium-dark purple-brown), it's excellent for making eyes pop this fall. If you have oily eyelids like me, make sure to use a primer first so your eye makeup stays in place all day.

PFW | FORGET CHANEL ROBOTS, GIVE ME VALENTINO!
Photography by: Michael Biro, globalgarcon.net
I'm having some serious fashion fomo over here as Paris Fashion Week has literally been flooding my Instagram. I'm watching all of my fabulous peers dressed up in their most fashion forward outfits wearing gold pleated skirts, fabulous printed tops and the latest it bags. Even though I'm not in Paree, I can't help but be inspired by the street style and the runways. Sometimes I prefer a more feminine look but still with an edge; like a pair of raw hemmed jeans I DIY'ed myself, a leather moto jacket I've had for ages and a dressy shoe like Valentino's star-studded Tango from FW16.
Finally while everyone's talking about the Chanel robots at the SS17 show, I have my sights on everything Valentino. I can almost imagine wearing one of those pretty feminine gowns from the spring runway, but with badass moto boots of course. ;) #personalstyle
What's your fashion week fave so far? Are there any designers inspiring you to push the boundaries of your style comfort zone?

NATURAL SKINCARE + BEAUTY ROUTINE
Natural skincare and makeup is one of those categories that doesn't get enough recognition if you ask me but luckily it's really starting to expand. When I first started the beauty section of WoahStyle I only focused on natural skincare products but as the site began to expanded I felt it was necessary to look at beauty as a whole as opposed to just one category. Regardless of all of the items I'm constantly testing for you guys, natural skincare, shampoos and deodorants still remain on the top of my favourites list.
When I heard about Beautycounter, a brand of natural skincare and beauty products, I knew I had to try it. I love the sleek minimal packaging but most importantly, the products are top quality and don't disappoint. My faves; the soothing face oil (1), nourishing face cream (2) and cream cleanser (3), which is gentle enough to use in the morning.
BeautyCounter has a lineup of makeup staples like lengthening mascara, sheer lipstick (Scarlet & Raisin pictured above) and matte bronzer. The brand is available online at beautycounter.com.
