THE TREND TAKING OVER INSTAGRAM THIS FALL
It's a pantyhose take over on IG this season! Have you been paying attention? Girls are wearing their tights under their jeans or wearing patterned tights and I'm loving it! Fishnets, polka dots, sparkly socks with sandals. Skies the limit and let's face it, this is one of the least expensive ways of update your #ootd's this fall.
I teamed up with Montreal based Rachel's Box, called Le Coffret de Rachel in french, and I'm excited to show you guys my take on the tights trend!
Since tights are a necessity for us living in colder climates, chances are you already have a few pairs in your drawer but how you layer them this fall is what matters. Like I already mentioned, tights under ripped jeans are big this season but here I wanted to go for a more traditional look with a twist. A leather skirt with zippers says "I don't dress for anyone but myself" and the statement shoe to makes my outfit pop. For another contrast, my striped shirt pairs well with the polka dot tights and keeps the look from being too boring. (Then again, can anything look boring with these tights?)

I want to know if you guys are going to be trying your hand on the tights trend this season. If you do, tag me so I can see your looks!
As for the dot tights in this post, you can get them on Rachel's Box here. They also offer tights subscription on a monthly basis where they preselect tights for you if you're into surprises.

HOW TO WEAR HIS SHIRT
Wearing his shirts is so much easier than wearing a fitted feminine top. For one, you can conceal your full belly post hearty brunch and not feel self conscience. Also, wearing his top gives your outfits new proportions - example, an oversized shirt and a pair of leather leggings with a pair of Stan Smiths. Talk about effortless.
Don't be afraid to shop in the men's section or go a size up in the women's department. The t-shirt I'm wearing here is from Paris based brand, Black Kaviar and is a men's small.

Skinny jeans and a classic ankle boot balance out the oversized top. I also paired it with a beautifully cut smoking jacket from Kooples to compliment the tee.

WHAT TO WEAR ON A RAINY DAY
Two of my favourite trips to Montreal where during the rainiest times the city has probably ever seen but that didn't stop the fun. I was equipped with the cutest Moschino umbrella that I sadly broke after my trip. Leave it to me to be so accessories obsessed that it's taken me 8 years to find an adequate-ish replacement.
I recently picked up this clear birdcage umbrella and that gets tons of comments on IG anytime I post it. Since it's clear, it goes with everything in my closet and it makes a statement. Instead of reaching for the rain jacket, I opt for a cozy buffalo plaid jacket. Underneath I'm wearing a wrap blouse from Revolve that has a chic little floral pattern.
Rainy days don't have to mean wellies and rain coats. Leave that to the torrential down pour days and just get yourself a cute umbrella instead. ;)

OCTOBER FAVES FEAT. NESPRESSO
It's time to bring back the Monthly Faves series because there are so many things I fall in love with each month that don't make it to the blog. October is the perfect time to start since it finally feels like fall and my perfume, skincare and even my snacks have taken an autumnal turn.
WELLNESS
I went to dinner with Saje Natural Wellness recently and what I learned made me love their products even more. Take the Immune roller for example (germ & virus fighting remedy), apply it to the palms of your hands, rub them together and cup them over your mouth/ nose and inhale deeply with your eyes closed. Another favourite, the Peppermint Halo roller for headache relief. Just rub some on your temples and crown of your head to soothe away a headache.
In my home I use the natural oils via the Ultrasonic Diffuser (currently on sale) which creates negative ions and cleans the air and makes me feel better. My fall faves are Glow (warm inviting scent of vanilla, ginger and cinnamon) and the 100% grapefruit oil, which makes me happy and inspired.
MAKEUP
On the days I hardly wear makeup I still like to curl my lashes. I use my Shu Uemera eyelash curler followed by Pixi's waterproof mascara to hold the curl. If I'm going to an event I use Charlotte Tilbury's Legendary Muse eye shadow palette which consists of rose and gold shades that are universally flattering and very glamourous. I finish my look by adding a touch of the glittery gold shadow to the centre of my eye lids for some true glam.
SNACKS
Hungry Buddha has a limited fall flavour coconut chip that is TDF - Pumpkin Spice! If you like PSL's, you're gonna love these! (I'm probably gonna cry when I eat my last bag...)
For drinks I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I drink about 2-3 cups of coffee a day. My favourite is medium roast called Rosabaya, a Colombian Arabic blend that's available for the Nespresso Prodigio machine. For those PSL lovers, Nespresso has a limited edition Pumpkin Spice Cake roast for the VertuoLine machines. (Read my Nespresso VertuoLine review here.)

SKINCARE
As a freelance blogger I try a lot of skincare but I only have two all time favourites brands and one happens to be Darphin. This month they released their Lumière Essentielle collection with a new serum and moisturizer.
Essential oils of citrus, florals, cedarwood, and ginger visibly illuminate and revitalize the skin. Instantly, skin looks and feels soft, supple, and glowy.
I love it so much I want to smear it over my entire body but it's pricey so I'll leave it to my face, neck and décolletage for now.
PERFUME & JEWELRY
Another vanilla scent makes it to my list of Oct faves but this time in perfume. Aerin's Tangier Vanille evokes the feeling of being whisked away on an exotic romantic holiday. It's feminine and mysterious and I can't get enough.
For accessories I've been wearing my David Yurman Renaissance Bracelet with everything, even with this little chicken bracelet from the French brand called La Môme Bijou. It's goes all of my outfits and I love the pop of red.

DRESSING BADASS FOR COCKTAIL HOUR
You’re headed to cocktails and you have no idea what to wear. Chances are you already have what you need in your wardrobe but it’s how you put it together that makes a difference.
For example, the band jacket I’m wearing here (from Zara, circa 2015) has big brass buttons that contrasts nicely with this super feminine Lovers & Friends dress (on sale for 57% off here). Then I paired it with a block heel from Jeffrey Campbell (on sale here) that wraps around my legs for some added cool factor. Finally, I accessorized with some statement jewelry for a pop. The result, badass cocktail hour attire! ;)
Next time you’re getting dressed for a night out, think of how you can put together your outfit a little differently so that you’re true to your personal style. Remember, subtle contrast always works, an LBD and cool shoes is sometimes all it takes!

THIS WILL GIVE YOUR HAIR MAJOR SHINE!
Written by: Diana Aldea
Photography by: Nathalie Martin
You might’ve heard that rinsing your hair with cold water after shampooing and conditioning helps to close the cuticle and seal in moisture from the conditioner, giving you healthier-looking hair. Don’t know about you, but that seems like too much effort when there are so many products on the market designed to give your locks some shine.
However, the Inverse Hair Conditioning System takes that principle and uses the power of ice to give you naturally gorgeous, picture-ready hair – no cold shower required. At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, it helps bring you stronger, shinier, healthier and more manageable hair with no chemicals, no heat, no cords, no mess,
After testing it for one week, I’m happy to say that it lives up to its claims. My hair was softer and shinier. One thing I didn’t expect (but was very excited about) was that it helped maintain my colour. I have a challenging balayage (a.k.a. brass central). I tone it myself and usually need to touch up bi-weekly, but after using the inverse, the brass was kept at bay for an extra week. That alone makes this product a must in my hair care arsenal.
