111114 Daniel Wellington, Visual Watch Review
Around the time I started blogging and IG'ing, I began seeing these very cool minimal, yet classic, watches all over people's feeds. The brand, Daniel Wellington. I feel lucky enough to have been gifted a watch by the company themselves. (Thank you DW!!!)
I've photographed all of the details for you here so consider this your visual review. From the simple cream coloured box, to the minimal white watch face with rose gold hands and bezel, I promise this watch is much more impactful in person than it is in photos. I was also happy to discover that the leather strap is perfect for my tiny wrists without having to puncture any additional holes, a rare occurance for me.
Oh and of course, the obligatory Daniel Wellington discount code for all of you, my follow subscribers is: woahstyle. The code entitles you to 15% off all DW products on their site until the end of November.
And in case you're curious, my watch is called the Classic St. Andrews Lady. I opted for the rose gold finish for that added touch of elegance.
111014 Dissecting the WoahStyle
Killer accessories make an outfit. That and well fitting clothes with good tailoring. Regardless of trends and body type, these are the fundamentals for excellent style. I've decided to start a new article on the blog that dissects my personal style and how you can apply these rules to your own style using your existing closet and a little bit of imagination. I'll tell you why I mix textures and colours and how to become a pro in dressing quickly.
My daily uniform is all about jeans and a t-shirt. Unless I'm going to an event, I really don't think too much about what I'm going to wear. My previous post, Shades of Black, is a perfect example. Strip away the layers and I'm wearing a black tank and black distressed denim. The Rag & Bone jeans are excellent for my petite frame and since I can't commit to having them hemmed, I simply cuff them. The black Oak + Fort tank is loose and drapey and sits away from the body so that it doesn't appear that I'm wearing a leotard from afar.
Layered over top of the tank is my Mackage cropped leather jacket. The leather adds warmth on a cold day and most importantly adds contrast, texture and breaks up the black tones.
STYLE TIP: When shopping for jackets always look at the shoulders, even if the rest of the jacket appears to fit your body. A well fitting shoulder will lie flat with end of your shoulder meeting the end of the jacket shoulder. Shoulder bunching means the jacket is too small while too much shoulder fabric means the jacket is too big. Use the size on the label only as a guide and let the shoulders tell you the truth. Now how many times can you say shoulder?!
I chose my black patent leather Chanel Moccasin loafers to lighten up the look and keep it from getting too heavy. The shoe also adds some femininity to an otherwise tough outfit. The classic loafers are comfortable for walking around in the city but also make a big impact with the shiny leather and signature CC's.
Colour comes into play with my purplish-blue Alexander Wang Diego bag and my brown French Connection Trilby Hat. The black band around the hat unites the black in the rest of the outfit, connecting the look head to toe. The tones in the accessories are in the same colour family meaning the entire look is pretty seamless for a relaxed noir look.
When getting dressed, look for unique sharp pieces that will stand out on their own or layered into your outfit. Find a "uniform" that works for you and layer into it with those killer accessories. And remember, well fitting clothes are the key. Regardless of how much your jeans cost, they'll only look amazing if they fit your body type well.
Thanks for reading!
xo, Nathalie

110914 Shades of Black Mega Post
On a gloomy fall afternoon, I got together with Chantal Li, blogger and founder of The Free Island, for one of my favourite photo sessions to date. I could't narrow it down anymore than I already have so I really hope you enjoy this Mega Post!

110514 Accessorizing For Life
If you follow my Instagram you'll know how truly accessories obsessed I am. Take a pair of jeans and a tshirt and dress it to be casual with a pair of Converse and a backpack or opt for uber glam with glittery heels and a fabulous clutch.
Here I'm wearing one of my favourite black skinnies from The Free Island with a super comfy Oak + Fort tshirt dress. I started the day with a pair of Alexander Wang heels and this fierce new Givenchy Pandora bag.
Running errands later in the day, I opted for an accessories change for comfort, with a pair of loafer flats and my Fumo wallet which also fits my cellphone. The cocoon coat keeps me warm and the furry keychain adds a bit of humour to an otherwise too serious outfit.

110514 Eco-friendly Shampooing
After seeing my BFFβs smooth hair this morning, I had to pick up the same shampoo as her. Live Clean 100% vegan and sulfate free, this bottle holds a lot of promise. Canβt wait to use it!

102214 True North
Fall to me is all about comfort and layers. On the first true frosty day in Toronto, I layered on my Acne knit with my Joe Fresh jeans and trusty Alexander Wang boots. My Aritzia Jacoby wool coat kept me extra warm and toasty. And of course what is fall without the beautiful change of leaves? As much as I dislike the cold, itβs always such a joy to see the trees change colour.

101414 Natural Skincare
For the last couple of years Iβve been using more natural skincare products for both my face and body in order to be kinder to my skin and the environment. My daily skincare regimen is simple and applies to both night and day.
FACE WASH | Iβm currently using Clinqueβs face bar which isnβt a favorite of mine but Iβm hoping to finish it off soon as SBT Seabuckthorn just sent me this beautiful Therapeutic Berry Bar. Itβs made with SBT fruit oil that is tested at 43% Omega 7 (fruit oil usually ranges at 20%-34% max.). The soap is also vegan and made with a five vegetable oil base and lots of USDA Organic Seabuckthorn seed & fruit oils. This leaves me excited to start using it now and ditch the Clinque for washing my hands. Stay tuned for a detailed review once Iβve begun using it.
TONER | My BFF introduced me to Thayers Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Toner a couple of years ago and Iβve been hooked since. Itβs soothing and gentle and wipes away any left over traces of makeup. Because itβs natural, I feel comfortable and safe using it around my eyes to wipe away any left over traces of eye makeup. Best part β itβs about $10 and I find it comparable to the Kiehlβs toner I was using previously. My preferred Thayers scent is the Rose Petal, but when itβs sold out, Iβm willing to try whatever is on the shelf because trust me, theyβre all good!
MOISTURIZE | The lovely folks at Seabuckthorn got me hooked on this Anti-Aging Cream (although Iβd call this more of a lotion). Regardless, this stuff is my BFF of moisturizers! It absorbs right into the skin leaving my face ready for makeup without needing primer. Yes, Iβve ditched my primer since Iβve started using this stuff! I also find that my face isnβt as shiny mid-day which makes me feel incredible since my skin is on the oily side. By the end of the day I find my makeup also lasts longer. At night itβs the same ritual, wash, tone and moisturize. I really donβt feel the need for night creams. In my opinion stay out of the sun, eat well, wash your face, moisturize and youβll age gracefully! Come the harsh Canadian winters, I like this Oil Free Moisturizer by Alba Botanica. It gives me that extra layer of moisture when my skin needs it. I plan to use it sparingly this year layered on top of my SBT lotion.
SPECIAL CARE | When my skin acts up with acne I dab a little bit of the SBT Seed Oil on my spots and they go away almost immediately. Iβm so impressed with how the seed oil works β Iβve used it on scars and even an ingrown hair that Iβve been battling with for months (gross I know but it happens!). I donβt know by what miracle it worked but this seed oil lifted that sucker out! (Thank you SBT!!!) Back to the acne part, I was previously using Burtβs Beeβs Herbal Blemish Stick for spots, which left my skin severely burned for weeks after along with a dark scar that was left over even once the acne cleared. The SBT Seed Oil is so much kinder and effective on the skin I canβt imagine my medicine cabinet without it.
Now if only I could find a natural SPF and eye cream. Recommendations anyone?
SBT Seabuckthorn, Alba Bontica and Thayers can be found at Whole Foods and well.ca in addition to the appropriate brand websites.
